I have been teaching for 5 years, and still have some students that came to me when I started teaching, which is very rewarding. They all do it for fun and fitness, and it gives them a great confidence boost by learning something new. I love how people of all ages can take part, one of my long running students has been coming for 2 years and she's 52, and she's a brilliant pole dancer. Even men can take part, my husband and I met through a pole jam years ago, so...... DJ Libre when are you going to have your first pole lesson? I have read hundreds of stories and comments about Pole Dancing/Fitness and all just as positive. There is never a bad remark from anyone who has tried it, apart from maybe how much it hurts. The only bad remarks or comments I see are from people who have never seen how beautiful a pole performance is. They have no idea the strength and technique involved. On the other hand I think a lot of people take it up because it is still thought of by many as provocative dancing and that’s the attraction as it has 'That edge'. If Pole Dance/Fitness becomes accepted and mainstream will the attraction be the same? Will it become like another hour at the gym? I would like to say no because it is the most fun and exciting form of fitness I have ever experienced. I think once it gets more TV coverage and educates people for the true art form it is, I think it will be one of the biggest fitness crazes ever! It is for everyone, doesnt matter what size or age. How many women do you see taking up gymnastics in their 40's.. Pole gives women incredible strength and confidence, its about time it was understood! Thats a great write up.
